TWIN TOUCH TEST
Questioning the life span of an archive if it’s original purpose hadn’t been fur-filled.
The test was to write 100 words on what it felt like to simultaneously rub your hands either side of chicken wire.
My aim was to finish the unfinished sensory writing competition from 1943 by Marcel Duchamp and award a winner which never happened due to World War II. The Twin Touch Test is located in the VVV magazine.
This publication used colours of lime and dark green which inspired the chosen colour palette. Keeping to the theme of the chicken wire, hexagons are stencilled out of the inserted coloured pages. This meant that users can still experience the sensory experiment without needing chicken wire.
